Science has played an all-important role in the development of man. It has helped him to change his mode of life from primitive simple ways to complex modes and styles. In the course of many thousand years, it has helped man to develop appreciably the conditions of his life. Today almost every work of man is helped by science.
The inquisitive human mind is not satisfied and goes on asking questions. Science is a quest of the human mind. Many things have been invented and discovered just because of this ever-inquisitive mind of man. It is still not contented after making such progress and wants to forge ahead to discover and invent more things.
Science club has precisely this for its aim-to develop a scientific mind in children. The young children of today may become great scientists of tomorrow. Their talent has to be tapped and the science club with its activities seeks to do just this. The science club has proved effective not only in increasing the scientific knowledge of the students and in giving a scientific bent to their minds but also in making them non-superstitious. It also gives them extra knowledge in science apart from the textual knowledge they get in school.
Science club tries to enroll as many members as possible. It meets on a fixed day and encourages the children to prepare models. It also provides children with all sorts of books on science and encourages them to read. It provides the children with all facilities needed for a particular experiment. Many experiments are conducted in the science club and practical demonstrations given. It organises tours for children. It also conducts exhibitions and exhibits the models prepared by the students and rewards the best ones and encourages the others to do better. The prize-winning exhibits are exhibited at the state and National level. Their effort is praised.
Thus, the Science Club, by its manifold activities, helps the raw talents to bear rich fruit. It plays a vital role in the development of science talent from early age.
